Kurhaus Dangast in Varel

Always worth a visit! Also now everything is available to go, faster and more friendly service :)

Disinfection and waiting area very good. The cake was delicious but not cheap. But it looks homemade and is therefore definitely worth it.

Everything is great, the coffee doesn't taste good, but the cocoa is so delicious with cream and of course the cake too.

What can I say. The Kurhaus with its rhubarb cake is just as much a part of it as a visit to the hermitage. The audience and the place itself are worth a visit alone. The furnishings from the 60s (?) Fit perfectly into the picture of this spa house. And on the weekends there is also a lot going on around the Kurhaus with various traders.

Breakfast, food, cafe and cake. Everything great. Prepared with love and brought to the table by friendly staff. I hope that "Alt Dangast" doesn't change. Visiting the Kurhaus is a "must" when you are in Dangast.

Overall good and the rhubarb cake was very tasty, which makes up for the long wait to order. We were there especially in the late afternoon when it wasn't so busy anymore.

I ate two pieces of rhubarb cake again today: one with and one without cream. Delicious as always! And the family is also enthusiastic. Unfortunately we hadn't made a reservation and had to wait a moment. No problem, but I recommend booking in advance!

Great, our dinner was delicious, followed by cake and cocoa, very nice. All of them, of course, but the many young employees who were very friendly and hardworking and you could tell that they enjoy working here were particularly noticeable. Also on the subject of Corona regulations it was exemplary with hygiene etc. We liked it very much and we will be back. Keep it up ?

As always, it was nice. But it is not possible that the cake pieces are so different in size. There were three of us and had two rhubarb cakes, one of which was only half the size of the other. A child's portion would be bigger .. And the third was apple cake that was even bigger than the rhubarb cake. I think you should keep an eye on that as a chef. GABI KLINK

The ambience is the old Kurhaus, but you almost feel like in a youth hostel. The great hall is loud and echoing. But: the service is brisk and friendly, the food with a small selection is high quality and surprisingly inexpensive. Simple and good. Nothing with a candle at the table or tails. The food is the same: plain, simple, but very tasty!

Visited the Kurhaus Dangast with friends for the first time today in the best weather and tried the legendary freshly made and still warm rhubarb cake with milk coffee. Simply recommended! Everything was occupied both inside and outside. A very well organized and very friendly young staff had the chaos under control and the hygiene rules were very well controlled and observed. We were led directly to free and freshly disinfected space. Absolutely great we'll be back, we promise.

Good service and a wonderful view on the Beach and the smal harbor

The four of us were there for lunch and luckily had a table reserved the day before. It was very well attended (on a Sunday lunchtime), both inside the restaurant and outside on the terrace. By the way, from here you have a fantastic view of the North Sea, as the restaurant is in close proximity to the beach. The idyllic location invites you to explore the picturesque surroundings a little after your meal, on the artist's path you will find gems that are really worth seeing. Even though it was so full, we were served quickly and the waitress was extremely charming and answered our questions. Respect! The staff really do a great job there and were very friendly and accommodating at all times. However, the whole atmosphere had a touch of the canteen, it was quite noisy at times. The selection of dishes could have been a little bigger, but we liked the food very well. Unfortunately there was no dish with prawns, but a real insider tip in this regard. Thank you very much again. The toilets were clean and general attention was paid to cleanliness and hygiene. If you stay in Dangast, you should definitely stop by here, in my opinion, the great surroundings and the nice people alone make a visit a very special experience. The cake was also highly praised by other guests, unfortunately we couldn't try it due to lack of time, but it looked really delicious. We will definitely make up for that next time.

Cult since my youth. Family atmosphere, friendly service. Be sure to order the covered rhubarb cake! In my memory it is many times better, but it is still very tasty now. With just a few steps you have reached the Nordic expanse and may puzzle over the wooden throne and the beach penis.

Phänomenal! The workers are most from one big family. It's very old, very nice view, unbelievable cakes that they have fresh every day. A very nice place to go with your family
